getting a rare glimpse into the life of one of the most infamous bands in the country. Barred from performing in public because of its raunchy anti-Castro lyrics, the band spreads its music through Cuba’s underground scene, playing impromptu concerts on a couple hours notice, wrapping up before the police arrive. Lead singer Gorki Aguila spent two years in prison on trumped up charges. We photographed and interviewed the band for two days, learning what’s it like to be rock star revolutionaries under the microscope of Castro’s repressive regime. Here are the final photos…
